Whats this have to do with Soap shoes? Maybe the only thing this add does promote is they could be fun.I wouldn't go in that pool any day with a shark and a mine. This picture also looks like it was alot bigger and it was cropped.

That was just the style of soaps at the time. Lot's of crazy Mad magazine-esque art. Just check out the Soap girl or if anyone remembers those weird flash pop ups on the original site.

wesker is exactly right. has no one seen the old soap chick post cards? there's a girl grinding across a bridge in some city. she's obviously drawn by the same artist as this.

the chick who's jumping into this pool has the same hair as the soap chick. i could upload some pics of that sometime. i've got quite a bit of old soap art around.

She was grinding a bridge? I know I have seen images and posters of her, but it looked like she was grinding on thin air and her Soap shoes were on fire. Infact, theres an image on Google that shows a Soap convention stand or something, and they've got shoes, posters, and movies too i believe.

In current HSL days, this ad would never even cross their mind to put as an ad.....Its just too rebelious for their taste....Have you seen the Heelys how-to videos? Soo gay....i was laughing at them the whole time...and yelling at my computer when they were grinding....But yea, Chris Morris obviously didnt give a shit haha.

yeah...hsl is to much of a puss to handle soaps i think...they just...roll...on wheels...and either the unlucky, unresourceful, or unintelligent people get the ones with plates (the same express plate that has a slot for the soap logo...but no soap logo just a meaningless hole) and think they are hardcore...i usually trip heel kids with my soaps.

I see a lot of little kids with Heelys and usually one of two things pops into my mind. One is to smack their parents and scream at the kid "GET SOME GRIND PLATES YOU WUSS!" The second thing is to just run up and push the kid down an up escalator. It's continuous falling entertainment!

Beating up little kids? That's cold blooded. Heelys are a kid thing. They grow out of it. They just don't know any better. I swear tho I saw so many of the fawking things yesterday in the mall. I counted atleast 20+ pairs all around the 5-12 age group. Soaping is about style, mischief, dirty ol' fashion fun. Heelys are just for kicks.

Trust me Heelys when I say, Heelys will have the same fate as Soap has. Soap just has more devotees :P

Soap is fated for mulitple comebacks after a decline in popularity every seven years. The shoes will die out for a period of three years. Each time they return, they will be greater than the last time. Eventually Soap shoes will become a high rated staple of the shoe industry. That is my prothecy.
