Sep 4, 2003 Greg

(http://resu.fswer.com/Pictures/greg113.jpg) Different angle of this shot youve already seen

Sep 4, 2003 Smokey

Eh, sorry pictures of cess slides are just stupid...

Sep 4, 2003 Benji

That looks really hard but i have to agree with smokey...

Sep 5, 2003 humain

yeah cess at olympic stadium! gab

Sep 5, 2003 GreenBeret

i think this is a cool pic. all u people who think this is lame either have no media or have shitty ass pics so i'd shut up.

Sep 5, 2003 Greg

i like how the Bis posse ganghs up on me to think cesses are lame. monkey see monkey do. and mart, that was so true and so halarious

Sep 5, 2003 ElSpanko

i have no posse, and greg ur one to talk bout posse's every time some one says sumthin bout you, mart, tanner, and all the other losers add in, and this is BY FAR the lamest pic i have EVER seen on this site, down with solid grind, broox was so much better, and i thought you got mad when "posers" sent in easy tricks, well u fall in that catagory my friend, and cess = mad easy, i can cess my sk8 box, i did it like 5 times and thought, wow i could be doing a lot better things with my life, ummm like counting how many things of lint i have in my belly button

Sep 5, 2003 ElSpanko

o and where are these rolling pics?

Sep 5, 2003 FritoBandito

i think this is pretty gay... but what can i say? a pic is a pic, maybe its just that i dont know what it is. whatever, oh, and no offense greg.

Sep 5, 2003 Tanner

"I can cess my sk8 box" OO!! I can cess plywood or skatelite too, concrete is a different story. No one cares. Although I think a picture of a cess is kinda stupid, its better than YOUR media

Sep 5, 2003 Smokey

I'm gonna be on wes's side this time... Cess's are probably the easiest trick to do. All you need is flexible knees/ankles and theyre a piece of cake... No balancing skill needed. ElSpanko is also right.. And if I could use italics on these comments i would have put "pictures" in italics... Meaning pictures of cess slides are stupid, but I did not say actually doing them is lame. Actually, I love doing cess slides... I just don't take many pictures of them. (I am aware that I have a picture of a cess slide on my site, a pretty horrible one too, but it's only there as a filler until we get better pics).

Sep 5, 2003 Mart

You obviously fail to realise exactly how hard cess slides are in comparison to a frontside. Props to Greg for doing it switch as well

Sep 5, 2003 Mart

What the hell are you talking about Ryan? If anything you need more balance when cessing because there's fuckloads more friction, thus you need to get your balance spot on to stop your shoes from stalling. If you had seen the IMYTA Montreal video, you'd know how steep this construction is. Also, there's a good few feet drop at the end, so if you stack you're in for some serious bleeding. I was cessing a steep ledge made up of concrete slabs on Tuesday. I went to switch from royale to switch royale, and my balance fucked up and I destroyed my hip. So don't say there's no balance involved when there fucking well is

Sep 5, 2003 Jordan_Thompson

Soap shoe cess slides are lame. Greg, you say you roll, well... where are the pictures?

Sep 5, 2003 pushead

I wouldn't think keeping the shoes from stalling requires balance. Wouldn't you just need flexable enough knees/ankles so you get on the side of your shoe? Otherwise Ryan is just really really good at cessing so to him it requires no balance...i dunno....

Sep 5, 2003 Mart

If you wear your shoes loose like I do, you need to get down lower than Greg is in this pic to stop from stalling

Sep 5, 2003 Smokey

Marshall (pushead) is right... I speak from experience this time and almost every royale-cess slide I've dont I didn't need balance AT ALL. like, absolutely none, and I'm not kidding. I wear my black cleans semi-loose... with old skool plates, that have been shaved down so much that they don't protrude out the side at all anymore...

Sep 5, 2003 Mart

If you had no balance, you would be either on your face or on your ass.

Sep 5, 2003 Smokey

I said I didn't ned balace... Cuz it was so easy... See what I'm sayin? Oh, why do I even bother, you'll never admit you're wrong anyway...

Sep 5, 2003 ElSpanko

hahahah i have my posse, not really, for once your wrong mart, so cry bout it

Sep 5, 2003 Mart

You're one to talk about being lame Jordan

Sep 5, 2003 Tanner

So apparently Smokey, you NEVER have to shift your weight to do cess slides? Any movement to help you stay up counts as balence. Get a video of a PERFECTLY still cess slide and then I'll believe you

Sep 5, 2003 Smokey

Ok, how long do you want it to be? Marshall has some school lunch tables at his house (for some odd reason), and those were the last things I've done cess slides on... I can cess 2 of them quite easily... That's not as long as this ledge but you'll get the idea.

Sep 5, 2003 Tanner

Erm, as soon as Greg posts the length of this ledge here

Sep 5, 2003 Smokey

Actually, fuck it. I don't even know how it got into this. I started by saying I thought pictures of cess slides were stupid, not that they are stupid. For all we know he could just be crouching on a ledge andhaving his friend take apicture really quick. But since this is Greg, I highly doubt he would do something like that. Anyway, I'm not going to go up to Marshall's house just to get a video for you guys to beleive me, but if we're ever there then you can see some video. (and I don't stay perfectly still when I cess slide... I meant that I don't move around a whole lot to keep my balance.)

Sep 5, 2003 bike4life

That one made my laugh mart good one

Sep 5, 2003 Tanner

Cool. Whatever works, I just wanted to see if you cared THAT much about your point to back it up with media.

Sep 5, 2003 bike4life

My last picture was decent

Sep 5, 2003 Rocker

i have boltars so i have to wax wat i cess on but i agree with mart it is very hard. out

Sep 6, 2003 Smokey

Well I just find cess slides easier than grinding, but thats just me it appears... I didn't mean to trash this pic, it was a damn opinion I had...

Sep 6, 2003 rscvideos

you little muggles need to quiet your mouths cause this trick is PRO and greg is on my PRO team and one more negative comment and i'll have shug knight shank you

Sep 6, 2003 pushead

i hate myself and i want to die

Sep 6, 2003 Benji

Thats a title of a Nirvana song

Sep 6, 2003 Mart

What you mean to say, Ryan, is that you have *perfect* balance, not no balance. Idiot

Sep 6, 2003 aaron

well, for the record i do find cess slides on slanted objects with soaps easier than a grind with soaps, unless the cess is spinny, then it can be hard... however i'd rather royale grind then royale cess with skates (unless the cess was spinning, then it'd be harder)... and i also agree that cess pics (particularily on soaps) look stupid... but this is an exception, this is the only cess slide pic with soaps that i've ever seen that made cessing with soaps look cool, so congrats to greg for making something i consider ugly to look good... and i thought alcohol could only work that magic

Sep 6, 2003 ElSpanko

i suppose ledges and slants would be easier, A) you don't have to jump onto them B) it does the work for you C) well i have no C but yall get the picture

Sep 6, 2003 Benji

Greg, i wasnt trying to gang up on you, i was just saying that pics of cess slides arent that great, but there still cool and i know that i couldnt do a cess on that huge enbankment so sorry for the misleading post before.

Sep 6, 2003 Greg

since there is a ridicouls ammount of stupidity flying around the comments im only ganna be able to correct a few or my brain with blow up. cess slides require more balance than grinding, i have no FUCKING clue how you could think otherwise. when youre grinding a rail, youre locked onto one single line, but when cessing, your feet can slide all over the place, in different directions, and you have to keep your feet far down so they dont catch and you go flying. secondly, i wouldnt ever fake a picture, esspecially for soapshoes, lord. next, im well aware cess slides are a fairly easy trick, but they require at great deal of style so you can actually slide. i also heard morons talking about doing them on funboxes and picnic tables, but i doubt anyone would try it down this ledge (http://resu.fswer.com/Pictures/greg113.jpg) this isnt on a SK8BOX dawg. really, im sick of all of you posting stupid commentson my pictures to cover up for your lack of skill. fuck off

Sep 10, 2003 tk_4211

i like it greg, especially the other angle of this cess slide, good job man.

Sep 11, 2003 broox

yo, people need to chizzzill! dope pic, bro. nice cast, hahahahah hahah hahahahaha hahahah ahahahahaha... stupid cast.

Sep 11, 2003 broox

ah shit, i forgot about the trick list... i had a cast on. http://www.solidgrind.com/images/tricks/shoe/makio.jpg

Aug 25, 2004 skaterjake

this is bad, i have never seen anyone cess slide on soaps before i think its tight so dont be haten

Apr 10, 2006 mgm

do cess slides mess up the side of your shoes? When you are sliding are you slideing on the cloth of your shoes?

May 15, 2006 AnthoFlex

Ummm....surfaced told me that T-bones and broadsides are the best to do them in cause the plates are sticking out on the side more than the other models. I accidently cess slided (wasnt really a cess slide) on Friday in gym class...we were playing the "Catch the Flag" game and i grabbed it and tried to kinda push-off run, and my plate caught the floor and i ate the worst shit..

Jun 5, 2006 AnthoFlex

I think Cess slides are fun though...gives u that "close-to-ground" glide...

Jul 3, 2006 HARSH

In inlining cess slides are just excuse to land a trick a funny way or just to show there are other ways to skate the same-ol same-ol and yes they do give a close-to-ground "glide" (when using wax though).

Oct 22, 2006 snikas

Hey look ma no rail

Oct 22, 2006 SonicSoaper

This obviously needs some sort of skill. I'm not sure I'll try doing one but it still looks nice.

Dec 19, 2006 snikas

a broken arm thats gotta hurt if he were to fall

Feb 28, 2007 kobansora

I know I'm late on this but lol cess slides ARE hard to do if you're on level ground.

And they tear up your shoes. Don't try it..

~JJ

Feb 28, 2007 yanninicole

you are going to hert yorself agin

Feb 28, 2007 matrix8967

yeah cess are hard...but I still do them, I think they're fun. I do them on my Storm Cellar all the time. it does tear your shoes to hell though, so I wouldn't do it on anything but Express (because you can just buy new ones)

---Alex

Feb 28, 2007 shdook

I love to do cess slides, and they dont tear up my shoes as much as everyone says they will.

Feb 28, 2007 Ohanzee

I think it really depends on the surface you are doing them on. cement, probly not a good idea, a tile? hell it wont do much, and you slide for a long time (if it's a little wet).

Mar 1, 2007 SonicSoaper

Too much bending for me.

Apr 6, 2007 Mart

I'm afraid that you don't get any style without bending, squire. This is one stylish cess slide

Apr 6, 2007 AnthoFlex

You should know, you got that Cess Slide vid on Soapshoes.info, has anyone seen it?

Heres the link:

Apr 6, 2007 SonicSoaper

LENOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

May 13, 2007 sam

Those look like grey flows.

May 13, 2007 Surfaced

They are Squeaky Cleans.

May 13, 2007 Mart

To my knowledge, Greg never had Squeaky Cleans. These are likely to be Flows

May 13, 2007 Surfaced

Alright.
I suppose there is a Flow that matches the appearance of these shoes.

May 14, 2007 AnthoFlex

They are cleans, not Squeekys or Flows.

Greg had flows, but look at the sole of that shoe. Only the cleans (and scabs and MB tanks) have the black that goes up like that near the top. That part of the flows is black, but however, it goes down, not up

May 14, 2007 AnthoFlex

*near the front* i meant

May 14, 2007 Slidey

Yup, I agree with Renny. They look exactly like Graphite Cleans

Jun 8, 2013 kowalski

Does cessing fuck your shoes then? It looks like it would.

Jun 8, 2013 Relate2Videos

depends, how often you do them, where you're doing them, etc
