A-Sides may undergo grindplate enhancements
Oct 28, 2003 by derek Many of you are aware that the A-sides are scheduled to go into production within the next month or so. Last week I suggested to Soap that the we try a slight grindplate redesign before production. With a shoe as technical as the A-sides, it's important that every single feature of the shoe be perfect (especially since you'll be spending a little more cash for it). First of all, the grind plate is awesome. It's much thicker and more durable than the broadside plates but they simply aren't good for royales, farfegnugens, or any tweaked grind. The T-bones, however have insanely good plates for these grinds. Therefore, I suggested that they combine the standard (50/50 grindplate) from the T-bones with the sole plate of the A-sides. The final result should be a shoe that is the absolute best for every single grind. Transfers will be easier and more solid, mistrials will be easier, etc... All in all it will increase everyone's trictionary easily. I will have a pair of these as soon as the prototypes are out, then I'll let you all know how they are. Comments
