Aggressive Inline for Xbox (review)
Aug 12, 2002 by phov

..hmm i'm not sure if you'll post that but i think's its "inline related" so i'll send it anyway.. i've played Aggressive Inline on Xbox (new inline game made by Acclaim)..

The game is really nice, the cover is a bit lame though but the game in general is quite fun. The controls are really weird at the beginning but if you've played all the THPS games on Playstation and Amped on XBox you'll get acustomized to them really soon... The range of grinds is quite impressive : frontsides, fastslides, royales, soyalse, fishbrains, freestyle cess slides, and the list goes on. You can also do all those tricks in alley oop and/or fakie, wich is pretty hard to do (controls) though... The grab and flip tricks are also really nice you have a wide variety of grabs that you can all "tweak" in some kind (a bit like Amped on XBox) and the flips are really impressive : misty flips, flatspins, bioflips, mc twists, front & back flips.. One thing that is nice is that you can do a thing they call like "Abstract" back flip or Abstract misty flip, etc... wich is a simple misty or back flip without any grab of any kind (also hard to do...:) ...So when you do an Abstract Back Flip you do one heck of a nice Layout Backflip... My friend only had the game for like 2 days so we only had 3 leves unlocked yet and they are huuuuge, the gaps are so "sweet" ..you Land in Landings... the transitions are smooth as "H-E Double Hockey sticks".. the challenges are also really cool : photographer challenges, skill challenges, etc.

You never have time (and this is really great!) you have some kind of "power level" to maintain up by doing tricks...

You can chose between lots of known inliners like Franky Morales, Eito Yasutoko, Taig Kris, etc...

And last but not least, like almost every games on Xbox : the graphics are soooo clean! :)the game is really neat...

There are one or two bugs as usual... Blades look kinda fun when they are grinding i.e. not always grinding on curb or rail.... or grinding between you 1st and 2nd wheel or between first and no wheel at all :)

But in general the game is really nice and for sure is worth to try..

Overall note : 7.5/10

The .5 goes to the fact that you can hold on to cars in the street to travel around levels (not to give you speed though (wich really sucks))...
