T-Bones
Mar 26, 2003 by broox

Today I got a pair of the new Soap T-Bones. They're still in testing so don't expect to find them anywhere or ask where to get them. I tried them out today and would like to give you my first opinions...

First of all, if you aren't familiar with the T-Bones, they are the new version of the broadsides, or so I thought. Anyway, I got the black pair and the shoe design is just great, the shoes are awesome looking all around. However, the sole grindplate only runs halfway up the shoe, from the heel to the top of the normal grindplate. When I first saw this I was really surprised because it didn't make any sense at all. I mean the grindplate doesn't slope at all in order to compensate for the rubber on the upper half... so the only grind you could do using the sole plate is a wheelbarrow. I mean, this is still 1 more trick than you can do with your standard Soap shoes, but it is NOTHING like the broadsides.

To summarize, Heely's Limited (the new owners of Soap) have awesome style and really made some sick designs on their new shoes, but I'm not sure that these T-Bones are what the market wants. So you all are a big part of the Soap market, what are your opinions?
