Video Shooting
Jan 13, 2002 by alexei

greg writes, "I'm begining to shoot some raw footage for my video. I previewed some of it last night and it didnt have the same kinda effect as some of the ones on here. I know all about angles and I read the tutorial, so dont just re-feed that to me, but is there somthing special (other than love) the video is missing?"

alexei adds: YES! Raw footage may lack that extra umph because it doesn't have any music behind it. A video which has interconnecting between the grinds and the song (like a cmybal crash on a bail or new chord as soon as the plate hits the rail) raises the satisfaction amazingly. You're also only watching one grind at a time, if you were to put 10 of them together, do a little tweaking and add music you'll surprised how big of a difference occurs.
