It's all a matter of opinion. Some people love TRS and others don't. A lot of people complain about them not having enough flex. I have skated my trs access for over a year and they are perfect once they get broken in. The only downside is the shape of the backslide plate makes it hard to do farve tricks, but royales and every other trick are butter.

I decided not to get TRS skates b/c they looked kinda ugly. I mean, the alpha skate looks good, but the DT3 is meh :c I also heard that the buckle and boot snap VERY easily if you take an impact.

I'd rather go for some Sagonas or 0701s. But now, I'ma roll in my Razor Cult Bullet 8 LEs :P

i heard cults sucked no offense, i would have gone with gen. 4.1's. or eliot 3's

May 9, 2007kobansora

I don't like the 4.1s, they're too stiff for me.

Xsjado are my favorite. They are an open front shell that you can lace onto your shoe, meaning you can wear your SOAPs, so when ur done blading you just unstrap and you got your soaps to walk around in.

No way Kobansora. trs are built like fucking tanks. The boot itself is so rigid, and the buckles are made of aluminum riveted into the cuff. I wouldnt even be mad if someone broke my skates; I would more be impressed.

May 9, 2007kobansora

Yeah I wanted some Xsjados too but they were too expensive for me.

Have you ever skated in them Rynasty? And actually tried doing some crazy shit? I'm not saying this to insult you or anything lol, I'm just asking to see if you've actually had some experience with them. I was talking about them breaking in a couple months btw, skates should last you for at least 2 years.

I don't skate,I board with the RipStik

I've never tried blading. My girlfriend made me go ice skating once though. It was such a sad display uncordination(sp). There where little kids literaly skating in circles around me. I'll stick to my skateboard.

May 10, 2007Ronni

ya i skate I dont understand why people "soap" when you can blade lol

May 10, 2007SonicSoaper

People Soap because you can't go everywhere with your skates. You can't go into a mall with skates and expect to tear it up. With Soaps you can grind and run away clean. They're stealth bombers basically.

May 10, 2007Ronni

yeh soaps r coolio I'm just trying to get a damn pair lol

May 10, 2007kobansora

Sonic Soaper took the words right out of my mouth; Exactly why I love Soaps. Except I wish they had a lateral plate on all of them... Because makios, souls, pornstars, and all those other grinds that require a lateral plate are super fun on skates.

May 10, 2007AnthoFlex

You have lateral plates on all your shoes AJ...

May 10, 2007sam

Yeah, kobansora all your shoes have a lateral plate, ur thinking of a sole plate...

Ryan didn't say his skates broke, he said he broke them in. It's a well-used phrase to say that you've worked the stiffness out, or that something is now comfortable. In this case, once the skates had been worn in for a few months, the cuffs became more flexible

May 10, 2007kobansora

I was trying to use another word b/c really, the regular grind plate IS on the sole of your shoe lol..... Well now that that's over with, I hope you know what I meant. I meant that I wish we had broadsides, because I love doing those grinds.

Mart:
I think we all know what he meant by broke them in. What I meant was that I heard they break easily. Where'd you get that idea??

May 11, 2007SonicSoaper

And Renny, I know that. I think you mean kobansora.

May 11, 2007AnthoFlex

Oh shit, wtf. I could sworn it said "SonicSoaper" under the comment that i replied to, ma bad AJ

May 11, 2007Rynasty

Well kobansora thats what you made it seem like you were trying to say... You had Mart and I both confused. But for the record, yes I have skated trs (skating them right now as a matter of fact) and no they don't break. The frames suck but all stock ones do pretty much.

May 11, 2007SonicSoaper

That's because the first word of his sentence was SonicSoaper.

May 11, 2007kobansora

I'm getting bullet8 frames stock :P Woohoo!
