Future of Soaping
Jul 5, 2004 by Namlhof

This is pretty much opinion based. What do you see happpening with Soap Shoes in the near future? Do you see it growing, dieing, expanding retail areas? Yeah, just post what you think. Some of you that have been Soaping for a long time probably have a good idea.

i think that soap will (unfortunatley) die out again because of HSL's poor marketing schemes

But then soap will be brought by a big commercialised brand like Nike and soaping will grow alot (until it dies again)

Curtinator is a dick!

I think unfortunately Soap shoes will just kinda fade away like a bad hair style or bell bottom jeans. However, I think that there WILL be some people that will bring them back and in some new, improved way. I, personally will miss them. Though they aren't really a challenge unless you're soapin handrails, they are a great way for newbie inline skaters to learn basic tricks like frontsides. Besides that, it's awesome to be able to grind things in public places where skates aren't allowed. I just hope that the Heelys company keeps making them for a while.
