Go for whichever style you like best, the only thing that really makes any difference to the performance of the shoes is which grindplates you have

Tanks or Cleans will both come factory with UHF Original plates (unless someone has already tricked them out). Mart dislikes those plates, and I will disagree only slightly with him. I think they are useful as starter (training) plates, but I do agree that as soon as you acquire a level of skill, you'll most likely want to change-over to BBKs or Slo-Bros for lock-on and tweakage (control). The good news is that BBKs are still readily available on eBay for about US$6.00. Slo-Bros are a little more challenging to find. Anyhow, just a suggestion. Good grinding!

Sylons are good shoes, I started out on those. Very comfy and very versatile
