It could be possible if the material is the correct shore and mohs hardness. I have found no substitute for the injection molded nylon they used on the original plates, but I have come passably close with moldable polyurethane resins. It's an excellent idea, and if you have a 3D printer I would absolutely try it.

whats wrong with using the original nylon? if that's what works then just use that.

other than that there are still plenty of grind plates available, granted they are all bbks but it's still something

Hey Travis, check out my other post on this subject for an explanation of why nylon is non-viable.
