Project Unity: Plate basics 3 (Shape)
May 5, 2014 by kowalski

As McGrinder said we "need to figure out the plate shape ... before we mold it".

What ideas do people have about shapes for the plates?
Is there an existing plate shape that is so awesome we should basically just copy it?
Do any of you have ideas for modifications of plate shapes that your experience of soaping makes you think would be improvements?

And, of course: I shall start. Since we're designing the glide, I have designed it to have replaceable express plates, but now that I think of it, Maybe we could have some speedster plates and replace them with others as well. We could also have bbks too. And the express in case anyone wants those.

Yeah, I guess there seems little reason not to emulate all the good pre-existing plates... assuming we have amongst us originals to use as models.

I'm all for plates being replaceable too!

Is there anything... maybe some cool, new, random innovation... that any soaper has imagined while soaping that you can tell us about?

Is there something all pre-existing plates are missing? Or have the perfect plates already been made?
