Jan 28, 2007SapAuthor yeah pretty much, grooves aren't going to be like big indents into your plates, they are solid nylon plastic. Grooves are just a bunch of lines in the plates, helps to guide the rail in the middle. Jan 28, 2007Rynasty Umm, no, a groove should be as deep as possible and should be shaped so when you lock onto a rail it fits perfectly in the groove. Little lines in your plate won't work nearly as well as having them worn down a grip where you grind the most.
