hmmm.... does anyone know anything about these besides what it says??? I'm just curious!

Oct 24, 2006 SonicSoaper

All I know is if you aim these "quick release" dealies at someone's head, you better get ready to explain the cuncussion.

Nov 29, 2006 Soopahsonic

Posting a picture anybody?

Nov 29, 2006 Surfaced

No one has a picture because it was never produced past prototype stages, and apparently no one cared about it enough to take one.

Nov 29, 2006 AnthoFlex

Steve has a picture of it, So does Derek

Jan 7, 2007 snikas

hey dose anyone have a pic of theys plates. id like to see it

Jan 7, 2007 SonicSoaper

I wouldn't. I think it might hurt me from easily falling plates.

Aug 19, 2007 greenfire8484

lol... no one's posted since january thats awesome... but anyway i would hate to be right in the middle of sliding down a rail, fairly fast, i would assume, if these aren't just slobros that pop off, and the plates just slide right off. You'd either land right between the legs or just end up with the worst concussion of your LIFE. ____here are ur plates________________

Aug 19, 2007 greenfire8484

well, it was a crappy attempt at showing that your going off the rail and your plates are not going with u. Sorry for that.

Aug 19, 2007 Megashadow77

lol, AsCII Art sucks, man, I feel ya tho, it's happened to me before.

Aug 20, 2007 greenfire8484

haha thx

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

It's a great idea.....

They just need to work on how it's actually done. Like heelys.....the wheel stays in while you use it, but it pops right out when you want it to b/c of the wheel well and axle. If they could do that with plates, it would be awesome.

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

I've made my own quickdraw that works really well. It was the only soap project that i thought up of, planned and drew out, and tested it.

The ending result was flawless and came out great

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

......explanation? pics?....

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

Nope.....and yes i have pics, but no

So HSL can take my perfected experiment and put it on a new Heely?

Nah, im good ; )

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

Dude.....just imagine the possibilities.....

HSL is staring to listen to us, which is why they're making the pro model heelys. If we tell them we want a new soap shoe with a perfected quickdraw plate design that only we have, they're going to make it. They're desperate.

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

No thanks

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

Well.....fine...it's your design.....

But what if a bunch of soapers come complaining to you that they want a new soap shoe with your quickdraw plate design, and you have no way of mass producing it?

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

Then thats too bad. I get complaints and death threats from soapers all the time. Its nothing new to me

I want that shit written in stone that my quickdraw plate won't be used on any Heelys model.

If anyone is gonna start complaining about my quickdraw plate design, then also complain about the about 15 other successful soap projects that i have completed.

My lips are sealed until HSL is fully willing to make new soap models.

I told you guys i dont fuck around ; )

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

Well we kinda figured that.....

I'm talking to ppl on heelychat about contacting the new manager of HSL about getting soap models produced. We can make sure it's used ONLY on soaps, if that's what you want. Just think about it. All of those soap projects......if you give them to HSL and new soaps are produced, the business will explode. I couldn't stand keeping it to myself if I were you.....all those ideas, and no way to make them happen....

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

I've already talked to a few ppl. We're not in charge of HSL, so we can't make any promises......but everyone thinks new soaps with plates like that would be an instant explosion of sales. And more sales=more popularity....

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

As long as i have them, and they work for me, i'm happy.

Perhaps when one day HSL becomes cool and starts producing more soap models, i'll share some of them with the world. Like one of my favorites, project thunder

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

Ok. So.....is that a deal? If HSL makes more soap models.....like broadsides, scorchers, express.....or maybe re-release older models.....you'll start giving your experiments to them?

Besides........why keep all the fun to yourself when a ton of other soapers would love it? Like merlyn....a.k.a. the "god of heeling"....he invented the megavert wheel. But he shared the design with everyone else, and now we all have them and heeling as reached a new level.

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

The ideas locked away in this soaper's mind are for fellow soapers only. I don't like the idea of my ideas becoming part of heeling just so heelers can take all the credit for it.

Thats just not my style. I stick with my kind

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

you guys talk about taking Heeling to another whole level

These ideas will take soaping to MANY new levels and in some ways, revolutionize soaping, and the soap scene as a whole...

I think thats why HSL doesn't wanna make more models

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

That's the problem. You think you have to be separated from heelys, just like blades think they have to be separated from skateboards. We're all going for the same goal, having fun. If there was a way to make the soaps you have ideas about, I'd suggest that. But since the patent belongs to HSL, they're the only ones that can make new soaps. I can't promise anything about what HSL would do with our ideas.....but we'd do everything we could to give you credit and have them put on soaps.

Basically what I'm saying is......the only way for your ideas to reach fellow soapers is to have HSL produce them.

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

Oh of course, you'll see these new ideas, i promise...

...When HSL finally puts more effort into soap.

We have all busted our asses (me for 2 1/2 years STRAIGHT) showing and proving to HSL that soap is not a waste of time, and has A LOT of potential. I alone have done a kickass job and revived the good name to NYC. And they still don't give us (and me) any respect.

-once again-
They can blow $1000's on a Heelys demo in disney but they cant LEND about $300 to pay for t-shirt prints and tickets for next months demo? Or better yet, fuck the money, we cant get 7 more demo shoes? They promised last year that after a year has passed, they would supply us with a new set....It's been a year...where's the new set? Can't allow it? Not in your "budget to promote soaps"? WTF

Anyone remember that thread "Has HSL Failed Soap?" don't go bother reading through it, here's the answer:

Yes...yes they did. HSL has failed the good name. I just hope the new CEO is as cool as Steve says he is. Steve speaks extremely highly about the new guy. If Steve says hes good, he's cool in my book.

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

I know. I hope he is good. b/c all the other heelys say they've tried to revive soap, and it hasn't gotten anywhere. HSL is too concentrated on heeling, and you're right, they don't see the potential of soap. ppl say it's pointless to keep nagging HSL......but seriously.....I WILL get new soap models if I have to bug HSL 24/7. I'm already talking to Merlyn about convincing HSL....he's one of the top workers there, he has a lot of influence.

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

Whatever happened to that dude, he wanted to go soaping with me, but he never got back to me

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

The problem is.....there's not enough ppl like me that see what soaps are capable of. All the heelers are concentrated on developing heelys, and HSL ignores all the soapers. If I could just convince some of the heelers in the national pro team to ask HSL about it....

Feb 9, 2008 Spano565

I'm sick of this crap too i have been working my ass off to promote soaps in new jersey for months ever since i came onto this site showing people what soaps are about and making my own damn cards to tell people where to buy soaps like ebay,SSS,and also directing them to renny's soap myspace.(Even tho i haven't done as much as you Renny i'm still working hard 24/7 also in school.)Sorry i haven't been on in a while but i've been doing that everyday.I really hope this guy will give us are big break here that we need cuz i got a gut feeling about him.ttyl guys.

Feb 9, 2008 RamenRadio

Trust me Spano, you are 100 percent right.

Just try to peacefully make topics in the forum dude. You don't have to bother with Kain.

Feb 9, 2008 RamenRadio

Merlyn as in Merlyn......... Manso...n?

O.O

Feb 9, 2008 rhinoskater30

ewww

Uhhh anyways...

Kain,

I seriously doubt that Heelers talk about Soaps as much as you say they do. They are intrested in Heelys, Heelys that have OUR grindplates. If you think that we could just live with Heelys and not use the wheel then you have no idea of the potential that Soaps have.

Alright, Soaps and Heelys aren't blades, and you know what?

THEY'RE NOT MENT TO BE!!!

So stop telling us that Heelys are oh so great. Soaps are better because we're not trying to prove anything, it's just fun. If Heelys were fun then you wouldn't be having these weird demos in Disneyworld/land/who gives a shit.

Now I'm sure whatever Renny has come up with is pretty spectacular, but I wouldn't trust you.

I don't know you and have never seen you. For all I know, you could be the owner of HSL. So really, not giving you ideas until what we want (unique Soaps) is given, is a good idea.

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

Spano,
I really hope you're right

Ramen,
no...lol.....his real name's David. He works for HSL, and invented most of the known vert on heelys, so he gets a lot of respect on heelychat.

Rhino,
you're probably right about most other heelers....but one of them that I know from KY is a big soaps fan, and so am I. You're right about the potential of soaps without a wheel. But technically....we're not using your grind plates. If I'm right, expresses were made by HSL for heelys, but idk.

I know soaps and heelys aren't supposed to be blades. We're not trying to prove that we are. We're doing all these demos at places to prove that we're a different sport. Soaps are trying to prove something, whether you believe it or not. They're trying to prove to HSL that they have enough potential without a wheel to have more of them/new styles produced.

I don't blame you for not trusting me, b/c you've met all your other friends. Seriously though......what up with the conspiracy theory? lol

But you're right, there is no way of knowing that. So I think waiting for HSL to make soaps is a good idea.

Feb 9, 2008 RamenRadio

I was only joking around haha

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

Actually Kain, look up the Express patent...actually, before you do that...look at the hole in the center...whats that shape for? A soap O

Now, look at the patent, the Express shares the BBK and Slobro patent.

Even you beloved "GRinD ThIS!" plate uses the SOAPSHOES patent.

You think you may know it all, but ya don't...

...I do

Feb 9, 2008 RamenRadio

Even Seth told in a video about how the patent is under soap.

Let me find the vid

Feb 9, 2008 Spano565

i think i saw that vid once

Feb 9, 2008 Spano565

maybe i can find it.

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

Antho,
you know it all WHEN IT COMES TO SOAPING. You don't know everything about heeling. But I believe you about the patents. So I guess HSL is using soap plates. I just took what it said off of the express plate on here, "a grind plate produced by HSL".

Feb 9, 2008 AnthoFlex

a grind plate produced by HSL....

what it fails to mention was that it was for SOAP. AND...it uses a SOAP patent

Feb 9, 2008 Spano565

Really HSL is using SOAPS ideas for plates then makes them like crap and puts a heely logo on it that's how they make plates

Feb 9, 2008 Spano565

And we get the frickin shity part of the stick

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

Well Express's aren't crap, even antho thinks they're a good plate. They don't put the heelys logo on the plates, they just take the soap logo out, which they shouldn't

Feb 9, 2008 RamenRadio

http://youtube.com/watch?v=rFuu9S5j_z0

There, seth even says it.

Feb 9, 2008 Spano565

Well that's an exception i love the express i'm talking about like the grails.

Feb 9, 2008 RamenRadio

I'm not getting into the issue about express, but other plates are better is all I'm saying.

Feb 9, 2008 Spano565

Last thing we need is an express plate war.Remember last time Travis.

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

Well some ppl think Grind Rails on grails are good, but I've never tried them. Everyone says they suck b/c they have no lock-in, so you fall right off the rail.

Ramen,
exactly, that's why they should put better plates on heelys and re-release the better models of soaps.

Feb 9, 2008 RamenRadio

Yeah thats why I said that instead of saying express suck.

My point is just that Seth said himself that the O in the middle of the heelys was because they bought the soap patent.

That's all I'm saying

Feb 9, 2008 Kain

yeah.....

but they should still have the logo there

Apr 27, 2008 misterterse94

sweet, an arguement happened on my b-day. does HSL even state the origin of the plates. like on the site or watevr. b/c it ticks me off when i see a little fag heeler, going "OMG HSL created grind plates! They is Jesus!"
PS-i called that heeler a fag b/c thats what he believes. i dont want some 8yr old goin to school spreading some wrong shit around.
all im saying is HSL should atleast give credit where its due

Dec 18, 2008 Altman

The Quickdraws are pretty much the most fabled grind plates due to the fact that barely anyone knows what they're like. The secret's in the grave.

Aug 10, 2009 Kooksoaper13
