Huge Files
Feb 18, 2002 by rscvideos

What should i use to compress my avi format movie files so that they are manageable? Every finished movie I make in Adobe is HUGE.

rscvideos adds: making a video file small is a combination of many things. first you want a good codec, and then you need to know some good settings to output your video. the following is an email from riley maruyama from www.be-mag.com on his compression preferences, these work very well:

codec - sorenson

quality - high

fps -15

key frame every - 150 frames

data rate - 40~50kb/sec

size - 240 x 180

audio codec - qdesign
