Soaping Dilemma
Nov 21, 2001 by aaron
Hey! I have a problem! First, lemme introduce myself. I am Pedro, I live in New York, and I'm 14. I got soaps about a month and a half ago and I'm loving it so far.
On with the problem. I live in...a somewhat POOR neighborhood (despite me getting soap shoes) This neighborhood has pretty much NO RAILS...

whatsoever, just flat, ridged hand rails, or extremely short rails with about 1 ft tall stops, no smooth steps nor curbs, and the parks...ugh. The playgrounds have crappy benches, rusty slides, old paint, and too many people. the only way i've been able to grind is on the track, (which has sloped turns with edges for me to grind on) a step in front of the auditorium, and the steps to the exit, all in school. The rails there are rusty or have stops in between. The ONLY way I've been able to grind well was a trip to Central Park on the day the sprinklers were on. Smooth benches! I managed to mute, once. :)
What I would like to know is where can I grind good enough, and if thats not answerable, what I can do to help my grindin crave. (Thanks to these shoes, I love gym. Believe me when I say this, I'm a computer geek (not a nerd) I'm very unathletic, and I'm running a mile a day now...whoa) I'd preferrably like an answer from a fellow New Yorker. I live between Ridgewood, Queens, and Bushwich. Thanks in advance to those who want to help.
aaron adds: Well honestly I'm not from New York but I hear that Queens has nice rails...
New York is filled with awesome rails but the biggest problem is transportation from rail to rail in the big city, I don't know much about New York but I'm pretty certain a 14 year old shouldn't be wandering around the city by himself.
