Wood?
Apr 12, 2002 by alexei

nhbb66 writes, "Hey I am new to Soaping and was just wondering, if you soap on wood, like rounded edges of it and stuff does it wear down or ruin the plates of your soaps? I was just wondering cuz i was going to make a box made out of wood so i could soap on it, someone reply who knows, thanx!"

alexei adds: Wood is typically the slowest grinding surface because it's soft and uneven. It wouldn't wear down your plates nearly as fast as rails or ledges will, but the box may end up splintering.
