These plates are nasty for ledges, the grooves aren't at the right angle for grinding curbs etc

But really, rails are where it's at. Get a nice little royale groove going in these badboys and you're singing

I just got Scabs today in the mail that came with slobros.....and i have to say.....thats some insane lock-in.......awesome control.....and not as slow as people make them sound....i havent tried them on ledges yet.....hopefully they do me good.....but i mixed them with my BBK's......i think its good to mix plates if you want.....my experiment, have the BBK's in front (like always for me) and the slobros in the back for the lock in....this is because i land front foot first....and im pretty sure that a lot of people will agree that landing front foot first is kinda fast and it is somewhat more difficult to get the back foot to lock in....anywayz, thats just my thought...

New plates are always fast. Once you wear the topcoat of plastic down they slow up a bit, but the same goes for any plates

Matrix, actually styling on the Express plate is more a combination of SloBro meets Octane, rather than BBK.

I just put my slo bros on my ordnance...man...it's wierd...i think they sent me the screw ups...they're...wierd...the Left i got fits on the right shoe, and the rights fit on the left. they're really hard to get on and off...but they fit good...havnt tested them on anything yet...more on that to come...(all the plates came in Grey)

you know, now that you mention it you're right...also, (either the bit-depth of the scan or...) the whole plate looks textured, where as on mine, only this single lock-bar is...of course HSL sent me the rejects on the assembly line like stated above ^^

they are really nice on my scabs i love the way they lock and its pretty good control and you have to get used to a different way of tweaking in my opinion but i dont know i might just tweak my grinds a little different

Take the Goas. Make grooves in the BBKs and you'll be happy you did.

If you really like the Goas, that shouldnt even be a problem deciding....i have like 5-7 (cant remember) pairs of Slobros in different colors, i would trade one for a sick shoe like the Goa. I only need 3 plates....my Octanes, Slipknot and Express.....i can die happy with those.


But on the whole i would say that my Blue and Gray slobros are my favorite Slobros

First off, I'd like to address this. I freaking love these plates. They have their flaws, but I luvs em.

Okay, they're slow. They don't seem to be as slow as people say, but maybe that's just me. I'm weird like that.
The lock in is incredible, you feel like you're just gliding. The tweak is ok....I guess it feels weird cuz you're really just going on that little line in the middle. They aren't so good on ledges, probably because they aren't big and open like BBKs and Originals. Also, don't grind any kind of square rails with these unless you're committing suicide. Also, they are sorta hard to bail off of if you screw up, because of the great lock in.
Overall, these plates are incredibly great for rails. They're crap for ledges, and square rails. If you and your buds like to go around town sessioning on rails and things of that sort, go for it. Of course, unless you just totally hate ledges, like me, get some BBKs.

They are a little bit slower than the other plates. They're slower to allow for easier control on rails.

I put these on the ords I got to try them on a shoe that fits, and man... these things are really odd and very, very slow. I hit my rail for a bit, and it was strange, I couldn't do anything but ufos for about ten minutes, then all the sudden I was doing royals, the one trick I find totally impossible. Thanks slobros?

Supposedly they are slow on ledges.

To get nice grooves on the sides you wear them down on some curbs and ledges, and that will also help with speed if you really want some speed in your grind.

They lock on great, hence the deeper groove. And no they are defintely(sp) not slow on ledges.

Well, I've only ever had one set, and they are indeed really slow. You have to hit the rail running to get a good grind. But the thing is, they lock on like nobody's business, so you can grind for a long time at low speed. This is pretty cool to me because on certain grinds I tend to be a control freak.

So i finally got to use both these plates and my pertol Ords on a sweet rail on saturday.

Damn these plates are sweet!! they lock in extremely well, i decided to carry these around cause the bbks in my Ords had no grooves, so i switched them out when i saw the rail.

But they wear really fast, i managed to get a good royale groove on both plates. But damn do they wear fast, and only on a rail! oh well i still like em.

Most rails won't do that to any plate. That is a gnarly rail you're sliding on Spider. If I remember correctly, the slo-bro is made of the same material as the BBK, the plate is just shaped differently.

balance is your core muscles bro, these grind plates only offer more lockin depending on the grind plate.

do some squats, start running or jogging more, practice balancing on stuff. that will improve your balance, not grind plates brother.

So this is how it feels to be outbid last second... Best pack ever it had some black sylons that were used, ( they look worn out but the midsole looked completely fine no so maybe it was actually still good) completely new slo bros, stickers, and some soap poster things. Outbid by a dollar :(
