Perfect rail grinding plates. Nice lock on, shame they werent replacable. The middle groove helps to reduce the plate contact area during frontsides making it faster.

May 14, 2006 Lemons

hee hee, the plates sound like the opposite of slo-bros...

May 18, 2006 chip

ya thay kinda do

Jun 3, 2006 teamhoax

i expect them to be like the drag cars of soaps !

Aug 26, 2006 SigmaPoe

From what I can tell from most of your input if the plates where switched to kinds of cars:
BBK=It is that car you'll get if you have good grades in school and put down that extra 2000
Curb Buster=Dying late 80's and earily 90's Import
Express=Another First Car
Impact= Styling(I.E. great for royales) modded 1990's car
Maxwell=Pinto
Octane= Hot of the line Import(I.E. 07 skyline)
Quickdraw=A unrelased verison Hand me down car
Slipknot= Sick looking import
Slo Bro= 1980's/90's sleeper Imports
Speedster= Drag car/hot rods
T-Bone= old 1970's/80's car
UHF Original= Your first car

Aug 26, 2006 SigmaPoe

I ment to say for the bbk near the end that "and your parents would put down extra 2000 get you that slightly nicer car"

Aug 31, 2006 SonicSoaper

Five words, and they're in song.
*ahem* Sonic the Hedgehog's grind plates!
(These lyrics are sung to the tune of the 1up song from the first Sonic game but then again, NO ONE CARES!)

Aug 31, 2006 AnthoFlex

Umm....the express plates aint no "first car" they're awesome

Sep 1, 2006 mgm

The successor of the NSX R is going to be better than the GTR.

Sep 1, 2006 Locke

I agree with SigmaPoe, except the Slipknot would be more of a 'ricer' car.

Sep 1, 2006 SigmaPoe

Okay I was wrong on one and sick looking imports are ricers

Sep 1, 2006 SigmaPoe

and They should have had a special verison of Sonic's soaps with a removeable plate that's great on grinds

Sep 1, 2006 Slidey

well the closest you can get is to buy nitros or chaos and paint them a different clour. useing the amazing guide that SAPauthor showed us

Sep 2, 2006 SonicSoaper

They did make one pair of Soaps that looked like Sonic's shoes but SEGA gave them away in a contest.

Sep 2, 2006 Slidey

dude! Is there a picture?

Sep 3, 2006 AnthoFlex

They didnt give A pair that looked like Sonics, they gave out a few pairs of Scorchers

Sep 3, 2006 SonicSoaper

Oh, right. I forgot.

Sep 3, 2006 AnthoFlex

IF im not mistaken, i believe that those Scorchers that wer eon ebay that went for about $230 were one of the Soaps given out by Sonic Adventure 2

Oct 13, 2006 mnsoaperns

you are mistaken, friend owns those scorchers, he should post if im not correct but as far as I remember from the bid they were just a pair of unused scorchers with the red color scheme. not ones given out by SEGA themeselves...

Oct 13, 2006 SPSR

they were new and unused. just out of box. and as far as i know it's not one of the give away shoes. if it is that makes them all the better.

Oct 13, 2006 SonicSoaper

Wait, they're Scrochers that look like Sonic's?

Oct 13, 2006 SonicSoaper

*Scorchers*

Oct 14, 2006 SPSR

no they are not. the only thing different i see on them is that they say "www.soapshoes.com" on the tounge and on the side of the shoe. the rest looks the same.

Oct 14, 2006 SonicSoaper

Oh, okay.

Jan 7, 2007 snikas

are theys cemented on your shoes or are they removeble?

Jan 7, 2007 SonicSoaper

Cemented on plate featured only on the Scorchers

It says that right under the pic.

Jan 7, 2007 snikas

oh i didnt see that. thanks

Feb 20, 2007 AnthoFlex

i can finally now confirm that the Speedsters are EXACTLY like the express plates...

end of story

Feb 20, 2007 shdook

Its not the plate that I like, its more or less just the look of the scorchers that makes me want them.

Feb 20, 2007 AnthoFlex

lol, i was just saying

Feb 20, 2007 shdook

But seriously, if you look at this plate and then the express plate like the first thing you notice is they both have the v-lock on right?

Feb 20, 2007 AnthoFlex

And both have the four grooves on the top and bottom...they are the same plate

Feb 20, 2007 broox

umm, not even close. speedsters are not like the express plates at all.

Feb 20, 2007 AnthoFlex

i dunno. im holdingmy Express in my left hand and my Scorcher in my right....seem the same to me...

V-lock-in, four dents, The ONLY thing different is the Speedsters Royale/Farf groove

Feb 20, 2007 AnthoFlex

and if they arent the same, then they are the closest thing to each other

Feb 20, 2007 broox

dude. the royale groove, the thickness of the plate, the slant and width of the inner groove, and most importantly, the materials they are made of.

the plates are completely different densities. do you think all grind plates from soap have been made with the same plastics, etc? not even close - this is especially true for the speedsters.

Feb 20, 2007 AnthoFlex

I know they arent made of the same density nylon, calm down.

My Scorchers, make a louder crrrrsssssssssss* noise on my PR, it sounds cooler...

Im just saying that overall, the Express plate is the closest thing to a Speedster, in terms of basic shape

Mar 1, 2007 AnthoFlex

These and the Express are DEFINETLY my favorite plates....those, and my yellow Octanes on my Septums

Mar 22, 2007 mgm

I modeled the bbk grindplate grooves on my petrol ordances after these and now they lock perfectly and I can use the rubber.

Mar 24, 2007 rhinoskater30

FAST!!!!!!!

Apr 21, 2007 Surfaced

"those, and my yellow Octanes on my Septums"

uhh...

Apr 21, 2007 AnthoFlex

what are you talking about David?

Apr 22, 2007 Surfaced

Nothing, I just need new eyes. Soon.

Apr 30, 2007 RamenRadio

I'm actually kinda happy that they only had these plates on the scorchers. I mean, who knows what other shoes they could have made with this plate. Like how there are the chaos with the express plate, the express with the express, the slice with the express, etc. With this plate, it was just one model. :D

May 19, 2007 Megashadow77

Man, I wish I could get my hands on these....

Sep 10, 2007 RamenRadio

Wow, sigmapoe hit the nail on the head almost

Octanes should have been a race car though, because after a short period of time, they are most likely shot?

Sep 10, 2007 RamenRadio

Although I think the thing about the curb buster and UHF original are a little bit wrong, I think that they are good plates for curbs and ledges only. Other than that, he has things pretty well worked out lol

Feb 3, 2015 Waffle

Imagine these were replacable.. Heaven X2

Feb 3, 2015 LIGERZERO7

I remember someone saying octanes were pretty much replaceable speedsters. Incredible lock on and it was really fast. I think someone also said quickdraws were suppose to be replaceable speedsters too. Too bad the closest you can get to speedsters are express plates. Don't get me wrong though, expresses are sick :D

Feb 4, 2015 mcgrinder2011

Sick huh? The plates or the shoe and it's knockoffs?

Feb 4, 2015 LIGERZERO7

Woah... ok... I like them both... Look its what I first got and I still love my expresses... Sorry...

Feb 4, 2015 LIGERZERO7

Soo... we cool? Lets just be friends? :)

Feb 4, 2015 Waffle

So Express' are fast? I thought they were just a shitty plate. Lock-on but slow..

Feb 5, 2015 LIGERZERO7

Sorry ok... Obviously expresses don't compare to in terms of speed but I meant design wise... V lock in, four dents, you know... I just liked the express. First thing I got and I loved them... The royale/farf groove, the thickness of the plate, and plastic is different you know what I mean right? Sorry for even bringing it up. Hope you don't hate on slow bros though. Let's just be friends, we're a small community as it is...

Feb 5, 2015 Waffle

Yea bro. Lets try not to make flamewars.

Feb 6, 2015 mcgrinder2011

Agreed. I've had to deal with flamers before and I never liked it in the first place. They're just as bad as spammers.

Feb 6, 2015 Waffle

HAte em

Feb 12, 2015 mcgrinder2011

True dat. At least it's not as bad as dealing with Spam every day. Over 100 comments worth...

Nov 1, 2015 Waffle

Speedsters are dope. These are what the Soap gods used to slide down rails in Big O and tWo. They are by far the most famous model along with Broadsides. All noobs say "I would fucking ace this rail if I had scorchers". That is bullshit. These plates are fast. It is like having a lion pet. That shit is dangerous if not handled correctly. Slo-Bros are better at tricks and shit. If Octane is basically slo bro and this combined.
